Welcome Remarks
Welcome to the 8th International Conference of the Jabodetabek Study Forum (JSF) 2026. We are honored to bring together scholars, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers from around the world to address the critical challenges of mega-urbanization in the Global South. With over 30 million residents, the Jabodetabek Metropolitan Region serves as an ideal case study for exploring metropolitan governance, urban sustainability, mobility, housing, social equity, and the implications of Indonesia's capital city relocation.
Aligned with IPB University's EQUITY agenda, JSF 2026 aims to strengthen international collaboration, generate impactful research, and contribute to evidence-based policies for sustainable and resilient mega-urban development. Whether joining us in person or virtually, your participation is vital to our collective success. Together, let's co-create solutions for more equitable and sustainable cities.
